What is Parkour?
Parkour is an athletic discipline focused on overcoming obstacles and developing natural movement patterns. Parkour is for anyone and does not require a high baseline fitness level. It involves running, jumping, climbing, vaulting, flipping, swinging and all other natural movement patterns innate to human beings. Here at Innate Movement, we view parkour as more than just a way to move through obstacles, we view parkour as a way to move through life. To train parkour one must embrace challenge, solve problems, confront fear, and adapt.
Our Mission
We strive to teach Parkour in a safe and accessible way. We believe that anyone can do Parkour and hope to share our love of movement with others through our classes. Our classes are structured to challenge movers of all levels and offer safe progressions for each student to achieve their goals. Parkour is more than just a movement system, and our classes help to share the philosophy behind the movements. Principles such as progression, perseverance, humility, honesty, & resilience are essential to a healthy and lasting practice. Our goal is not just to have members of a gym, but members of a community, supporting each other and sharing in our love of movement together.
